A brushed brass canopy holds a set of cords cut to different lengths, and each one ends in a squared block of honed alabaster. The flat faces are the whole point. A curved stone shade dissolves into a soft glow, while these read as solid objects with edges, catching light differently on each side. Every block measures 7.5 inches across and 6.7 inches tall.

Alabaster is cut from natural stone, so the walls of each shade carry their own veining, and light traveling out through them picks that figuring up from the inside. That internal figure is what separates the material from a molded substitute, and it stays visible whether the fixture is lit or not. Each shade takes a standard E26 lamp.

Five configurations are offered. The two light version hangs 7.9 inches wide on a 59 inch drop and the three light widens to 11.8 inches on the same 59 inch drop. The five light keeps 11.8 inches on a 78.7 inch drop, and the seven and nine light versions reach 15.7 inches wide on drops of 98.4 and 118.1 inches. Drop is the number to check before ordering: measure the ceiling void first, and over a stair keep the lowest block at least seven feet above the highest tread rather than the landing. Installation is hardwired with the supplied hardware, and given the combined weight of stone at the higher counts a licensed electrician should confirm the ceiling support.

Squared, not rounded

Flat stone faces hold their edges and catch light differently on each side, so each shade reads as a solid object. A curved stone shade dissolves into an undefined glow instead.

Drop is the decision

Lit from inside the stone

The figuring shows through the wall, which molding cannot.

59 inches at two and three lights, 78.7 inches at five, 98.4 at seven and 118.1 at nine. Canopy diameters run 7.9 inches at two lights, 11.8 at three and five, and 15.7 at seven and nine. Measure the ceiling void before ordering.
7.5 inches across by 6.7 inches tall, with rounded corners rather than sharp ones. Each one takes a standard E26 medium base lamp.
Keep the lowest block at least seven feet above the highest tread rather than above the landing. Given the combined weight of stone at the higher counts, a licensed electrician should confirm the ceiling support.

A chandelier is sized to the room as much as to the table. Get the diameter right first, then the height.

  • Over a dining tableBottom of the fixture 30 to 34 inches above the tabletop.
  • In a room with no tableKeep at least 7 feet of floor clearance at the lowest point.
  • In a two storey entryHang it so the bottom sits level with the middle of the window from outside, never below 7 feet.
  • Picking a sizeAdd the room's length and width in feet. That number in inches is a good diameter.
  • Over a table specificallyDiameter about half the table width, and at least 12 inches narrower than the table on every side.

Starting points, not rules. Check them against the measurements listed for this piece and against your own ceiling height before you drill.

From Our Customers

What Elbrune shoppers have to say.

Exactly What the Kitchen Needed

Was a little unsure about the size at first, but it ended up looking perfect over our table. The warm light makes the kitchen feel so much cozier. Really happy with it.

Took a Little Longer, but I Love It

Shipping took a few days longer than expected, but everything arrived safely. The lamp looks really nice on our nightstand and customer service was helpful when I asked for an update.

Glad I Went for It

I hadn’t ordered from Elbrune before so I was a little nervous. Everything arrived well packed though and the light looks even nicer in person :)

Looks So Nice Over the Table

The color is a little warmer in person than I expected, but I actually like it better that way. Looks great over our dining table.

Made Our Patio Look So Much Better

We put these by the back door and I’m really happy with them. They give off plenty of light and made the patio feel a lot nicer at night.

Took a While, but Worth It

Delivery took around 10 days, but other than that no complaints. The lamp looks great in our living room and feels really solid.

Light sets the room

Ceiling light is the first thing a room reads and the last thing most people change.

Hung at the right height

Every drop, rod and cord length is listed, so it lands where you want it.

Warm, not clinical

Chosen for the quality of the light as much as the shape of the fixture.
