Five diameters, from 5.9 up to 11.8 inches, all of the same white spherical glass shade on an adjustable cord. The range is the reason to look at this one. A single shape scales from a small bedside sphere to a fixture substantial enough to hang alone over a dining table, so a whole floor can be lit with one form at different weights.

Each sphere is white glass held in an iron collar, and the cord above it adjusts, so the drop is decided once the fixture is on the ceiling rather than fixed at the factory. Weight rises with size, from 1.5 pounds at the smallest to 3.1 pounds at the largest. White and Black describe the hardware rather than the glass: the lamp holder, the cord and the ceiling plate change between the two options, while the sphere stays white on both. White hardware recedes into a pale ceiling, black holds its outline against one.

One E26 medium base bulb goes into each, the ordinary US screw fitting, and none is supplied. Installation is a direct connection to a ceiling junction box, so kill the circuit at the panel first or bring in an electrician. The rating is IP20, which restricts it to dry indoor rooms. Three of the smaller sizes spaced along a kitchen island is the arrangement this shade was drawn for, and the two largest are meant to work on their own.

No. The glass sphere is white on every variant. Black and White describe the lamp holder, the cord and the ceiling plate, which is what changes between the two.
Three of the smaller sizes spaced along the run is the arrangement this shade was drawn for. The 9.8 and 11.8 inch spheres are the ones meant to work on their own.
One E26 medium base bulb, the ordinary US screw fitting, and none is supplied. Weights run from 1.5 pounds at the smallest to 3.1 at the largest, so a standard ceiling box carries any of them.

Pendants live or die on drop height. Too high and the light scatters, too low and it blocks the sightline across the room.

  • Hanging two or threeSpace them 24 to 30 inches apart and keep about 6 inches in from each end of the island.
