Each petal of the Salerno is its own pane of glass, outlined in a thin metal came and gathered under a cap at the crown, so the shade opens toward the rim on a lotus profile. The seams between the petals break what would otherwise be a flat glow into soft segments on the shade, and the pattern repeats faintly on the surface below it.

Blue reads almost opaque when the fixture is off and turns rich once it is on. Clear stays largely transparent and shows the source through the glass, which suits a room where the pendant should not compete with anything else in it. Both finishes take a standard E26 bulb, so the character and the warmth of the light remain yours to choose.

Three configurations cover different surfaces. Two single heads at 9.8 and 10.6 inches across are meant for use in a run over an island or a bar, spaced 24 to 30 inches apart with the end pendants held 6 inches inside the counter edge; both carry a brass canopy and a brass cap. The 31.5 inch three light bar suits a dining table or a longer counter and hangs from a black rectangular canopy rather than a brass one. Hang the bottom of the fixture 30 to 36 inches above the counter in any configuration, and keep the lowest point 7 feet clear of a walking surface. It is rated IP20 for indoor use and hardwired to a ceiling junction box, which a licensed electrician should install to local code.
