Six glass colors is an unusual amount of choice for a flush mount, and it changes what the fixture is for. Most ceiling lights are picked to disappear. This one is picked the way a piece of colored glassware is: orange, pink, white, and three separate greens, a clear green, a darker olive and a pale frosted one.

The body is a single round glass dome offered in two diameters. At 9.8 inches across it is 5.5 inches deep and suits a small bedroom, a landing or a utility room. At 13.8 inches it is 6.5 inches deep and will hold a living room or a larger bedroom on its own. Both sit flat on a 4.7 inch mounting plate, which is the reason to choose this shape at all: nothing hangs down, so it clears a door swing, a low ceiling or a stair head where a pendant would be in the way. The same fixture also mounts flat on a wall, which is how a good part of the supplier's own photography uses it.

A single G9 bi-pin bulb sits inside, the small two pin capsule type, and it is not included. The fixture arrives as parts and needs assembling before it goes up, then hardwires to a junction box with the circuit off at the panel. It is listed for dry locations, so a bedroom, hallway or utility room is right and a bathroom with a shower in it is not.

Yes. The same fixture mounts flat on a ceiling or on a flat wall, and it is hardwired either way.
5.5 inches on the 9.8 inch size and 6.5 inches on the 13.8 inch size, both on a 4.7 inch mounting plate.
No. It is listed for dry locations only, so a bedroom, hallway, landing or utility room is right and a bathroom with a shower in it is not.

Flush and semi-flush fixtures exist for ceilings that cannot give up the height. Choosing between them is mostly a clearance question.

  • Ceilings under 8 feetChoose flush. A semi-flush will feel low.
