This is a candle warmer, not a lamp you light a room with. A bulb sits above the candle inside the flower shaped glass shade and melts the top layer of wax with its heat, releasing the scent without a flame. There is no smoke, no soot on the glass, no wick to trim and nothing burning when you leave the room. The candle also lasts considerably longer than it would burned, because the wax is warmed rather than consumed.

The shade is glass formed into petals, set on a turned wood base in brown or natural wood, and it measures 7.1 inches across and 13.8 inches tall. It takes GU10 lamps and two halogen bulbs are supplied. A dimmer controls it, which on a warmer is a heat control as much as a light control: lower for a slow release across a long evening, higher when the scent should fill the room quickly. It plugs in and sits on a side table, a dresser or a bedside table.

Use it only with candles in a heat safe jar or dish that fits under the shade, and give it a stable surface clear of curtains and paper. The glass and the area beneath the bulb get warm in use, so let it cool before moving it, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.

A bulb above the jar melts only the top layer of wax, so the fragrance releases with no flame, no smoke and no soot on the glass.

Yes. It takes GU10 lamps and two halogen bulbs are supplied. No candle is included; the jars in the photographs are props.
Jar or dish candles in a heat safe container that fits under the shade. Do not stand a candle straight on the base.
Treat it as a heat appliance. Stand it on a stable surface clear of curtains and paper, keep it away from children and pets, and let it cool before moving it. The glass and the area under the bulb get warm in use.

A table lamp is sized to the surface it stands on and to the person sitting beside it.

  • Beside a bedThe bottom of the shade should sit roughly level with your shoulder when you are sitting up in bed.
  • Beside a reading chairBottom of the shade at eye level when seated, usually around 42 inches from the floor.
  • On a console or sideboardTotal lamp height no more than about one and a half times the depth of the surface.
  • Picking a sizeThe shade should be a little wider than the base and no wider than the table it stands on.
