Travertine is what decides this one. Each shade is cut from the real stone, so the pitting and the banding fall differently on every unit, and light crossing the surface at an angle picks that texture up instead of flattening it. The backplate is solid wood, offered in a dark walnut and a lighter natural tone, and the contrast between porous stone and close grained timber is the entire design argument.

Choose two, three or four lights. The backplate grows with the count: 12.6 inches for two shades, 20 inches for three, 27.5 inches for four, at a constant 2.4 inches of height, with each shade 4 inches across. The two light version suits a bedside wall or a short run above a console. The four light version is a corridor and stairwell piece, long enough to carry a blank wall on its own.

The light source is integrated SMD LED modules, supplied fitted and fixed at 3000K warm white, which is the temperature that flatters stone and wood rather than graying them out. It runs on 120V, 60Hz US mains, and it carries UL, CE and SAA certification. Keep the stone dry, and lift dust with a soft brush; travertine is porous and will mark if it meets anything wet or abrasive.

Each shade is cut from travertine, so the pitting and the banding fall differently on every unit. Light crossing the surface at an angle picks that texture up instead of flattening it, which is the whole reason to choose stone over a molded shade.

Yes. The specification states travertine stone and solid wood, so we say so plainly. The natural wood option refers to the backplate tone rather than a different material.
We would not put it there. The source states no damp or wet location rating and no IP rating, so we do not publish one, and stone and timber both prefer a dry wall.
The source does not state a power source, so we do not claim hardwired or plug in. The LED is integrated and supplied fitted at a fixed 3000K, and the fixture is certified UL, CE and SAA.

Sconces are the easiest fixture to hang badly. Height is set by what they sit next to, not by the wall.

  • General wall heightCentre of the fixture 60 to 66 inches from the finished floor.
  • Beside a bedCentre 30 to 36 inches above the top of the mattress, so the light falls on the page and not in your eyes.
  • Flanking a mirrorMount as a pair, 28 to 40 inches apart, centred at about eye level.
  • Above a mirror insteadCentre 75 to 80 inches from the floor, roughly 3 to 8 inches above the mirror top.
  • Along a hallwayEvery 8 to 10 feet, and measure the projection against the walkway before mounting in a narrow corridor.
