Hortense is a chandelier in the older sense of the word: a metal frame holding separate glass shades, each with its own bulb, rather than one large diffuser pretending to be several lights. Three lights sit on a 21.7 inch frame and five on a 29.5 inch frame, both 11 inches deep, so the fixture spreads sideways across a table rather than hanging low into the room.
Four finish pairings are made and they change the register completely. Chrome with white is the coolest and the most restrained. Chrome with beige softens that. Gold with white lifts a plain room. Gold with beige is the warmest of the four and the one that settles best into older houses and darker timber.
Separate shades matter for more than looks. Each glass shade sends its own pool of light down, so a dining table gets even coverage end to end instead of one bright center, and a failed bulb leaves the rest of the fixture working. Each socket takes an E26 medium base bulb, supplied separately, which means the light tone of the whole fixture is yours to set and can be changed later without touching the wiring. It hardwires to a ceiling box on 120V, 60Hz and carries CE and UL marks. Dust the shades one at a time with a dry cloth.

Five pools of light, not one
A single wide shade puts one bright disc in the middle of a table and lets the ends fall away. Hortense hangs three or five separate glass shades, each with its own bulb, so the light lands in a row along the table instead of a heap in the center. Every seat gets the same light. And when one bulb goes, the others keep working.

The three light frame is 21.7 inches across and the five light frame is 29.5 inches. Both are 11 inches deep, so the fixture spreads sideways across a table rather than dropping down into the room.
Each socket takes an E26 medium base bulb. Bulbs are not included, so you set the brightness and the color temperature yourself, and you can change it later without touching the wiring.
There is no dimmer or driver in the fixture, so dimming depends entirely on the bulbs you fit. Dimmable bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer will dim. Standard bulbs will not.
A chandelier is sized to the room as much as to the table. Get the diameter right first, then the height.

- In a room with no tableKeep at least 7 feet of floor clearance at the lowest point.
- In a two storey entryHang it so the bottom sits level with the middle of the window from outside, never below 7 feet.
- Picking a sizeAdd the room's length and width in feet. That number in inches is a good diameter.
- Over a table specificallyDiameter about half the table width, and at least 12 inches narrower than the table on every side.
