Individual linen drum shades sit on curved brass arms radiating from a central stem, and the brass is left with an aged patina instead of a polish. That single decision moves the fixture out of formal territory: it reads as settled rather than new, which is what makes it placeable in a farmhouse or transitional room that is not otherwise period.
Every shade is lit on its own, and that is the real difference from a single source fixture. Light arrives as a ring of separate warm points at shade height rather than as one mass from above, and the linen takes the hard edge off each source behind it. Five configurations run from three lights at 24.8 inches across up to ten lights spanning 35 inches, so one design covers a breakfast nook and a full dining table.
Hang the bottom of the fixture 30 to 36 inches above a dining table, and allow a table width of the fixture diameter plus 12 inches, so about 37 inches for the 24.8 inch and 47 inches for the 35 inch. Minimum ceiling height is 8 feet at every configuration. Hardwiring to a ceiling junction box should be done by a licensed electrician to local code. Vacuum brush the shades on low suction, because a damp cloth will water mark linen, and leave the brass unpolished so the patina keeps developing.

Allow a table width of the fixture diameter plus 12 inches: about 37 inches for the 24.8 inch versions and about 47 inches for the 35 inch ten light. Minimum ceiling height is 8 feet at every configuration.
E12 candelabra base bulbs, one per shade, so the number you need matches the light count you choose, from three up to ten.
Vacuum brush them on low suction. A damp cloth will water mark linen.
Leave the brass alone. It is aged rather than polished, and the patina keeps developing.
A chandelier is sized to the room as much as to the table. Get the diameter right first, then the height.
- Over a dining tableBottom of the fixture 30 to 34 inches above the tabletop.
- In a room with no tableKeep at least 7 feet of floor clearance at the lowest point.
- In a two storey entryHang it so the bottom sits level with the middle of the window from outside, never below 7 feet.
- Picking a sizeAdd the room's length and width in feet. That number in inches is a good diameter.
- Over a table specificallyDiameter about half the table width, and at least 12 inches narrower than the table on every side.
