The shade is a rice paper style fabric stretched over a wire frame and worked in two parts: an upper cylinder over a separate lower dome, with an even rib running across both. The ribbing is what gives the surface depth, catching light at different points instead of reading as one flat panel. Lit, the fabric glows rather than throws, which makes Ninfa a poor reading light and a very good one above a dining table, a bar or a low corner seat.
Three sizes, and they are not simply scaled copies of one another. The 17.7 inch version is the tallest in proportion at 25.6 inches deep, the 19.7 inch is the squattest at 18.9 inches, and the 21.7 inch sits between them at 22.8 inches. A warm white 3000K LED bulb is included and runs on an E26 (medium base) socket, so replacing it later is a supermarket errand rather than a search. The fixture is CE marked and covers roughly 108 to 161 square feet.
Suspension is a cable adjustable up to 59 inches, enough to hang the shade low over a table or high in a stairwell. It hardwires to a ceiling outlet box. The fabric is the one part that needs care: it takes a light dusting with a soft brush and nothing wet, and the shade should be lifted by its frame rather than its panels while the fixture is going up.
