Travertine is a limestone full of small open pores, and Noemie leaves them visible rather than filling them. The shade is a single wide ring of the stone, 11.8 inches across and just 4.3 inches deep, with a turned wooden ball above it where the cord meets the fixture. Because the profile is so shallow it hangs without blocking a sightline, which suits a kitchen counter, a console table, or a dining table in a room with a normal ceiling.
The LED sits inside the ring and throws light down through a recessed diffuser, so the beam leaves the underside soft rather than sharp. At 3000K the tone is warm enough to pull the sand and gray out of the stone instead of washing it flat, and the wood catches the same warmth. Travertine and wood both vary piece to piece, so the fixture you receive will not match the photograph exactly.
The cord adjusts to any length up to 59 inches, which covers a low drop over an island or a tight hang under a standard ceiling. It mounts to a ceiling box and runs on 120V household power, and the fixture carries CE and UL certification. Lit area is quoted at roughly 108 to 161 square feet, so treat it as the main light in a small room or as one of a pair over something longer.

Not exactly. Travertine and wood both vary piece to piece, which is the reason to choose a natural material rather than a defect in it.
Roughly 108 to 161 square feet, so treat it as the main light in a small room or as one of a pair over something longer.
Pendants live or die on drop height. Too high and the light scatters, too low and it blocks the sightline across the room.
