Two inches. That is the entire depth of the Selene, and it is the reason to pick it over a conventional flush mount. The fixture sits almost against the plaster, so it gives up none of the room's vertical space, which matters in a low room, over a dining table where headroom is already tight, and in a hallway where a taller fitting catches the eye every time you pass beneath it.
Light comes from a built-in LED behind an acrylic diffuser inside a solid wood rim, and it dims by remote across its full range. That is the practical difference from most flush fixtures in this class: the same light runs bright enough to cook or read under and drops to a low evening level without a wall dimmer being fitted. The LED is included, so there is nothing to buy separately or replace later. Four diameters are offered, from 10.2 inches for a landing or a small bedroom to 18.9 inches for a living room.
The Selene hardwires to a ceiling junction box and carries CE and UL certification. Three finishes are offered, a pale wood tone, a darker walnut and a blue, and the diameters available differ between them, so check the size on the finish you want rather than assuming all four exist in every color. On upkeep, the wood rim wants a dry cloth and nothing wet; the acrylic diffuser cleans the same way and will scratch if you use anything abrasive on it.

The wood and walnut finishes run 10.2, 15 and 18.9 inches. The blue runs 12.6, 15 and 18.9. Depth is 2 inches on every one of them.
Yes. The specification states solid wood and acrylic, so the rim on the wood and walnut versions is wood. The blue is a color rather than a wood tone, and we do not describe it as one.
By remote, across the full range, so no wall dimmer has to be fitted and no circuit work is needed. The LED is integrated and included.
Flush and semi-flush fixtures exist for ceilings that cannot give up the height. Choosing between them is mostly a clearance question.
- Ceilings under 8 feetChoose flush. A semi-flush will feel low.
