Cloud shape is the whole idea here: a rounded, lobed white diffuser that sits flat against the ceiling with no visible fixings and no hardware on show. At 3.9 to 7.1 inches deep depending on size, it clears a low ceiling and a door swing, and switched off it reads as a soft form rather than as a light fitting.

The LED is built in rather than a bulb, which is what lets the profile stay that shallow. Output scales with size: 1920 lumens at 11.8 inches, 3200 at 16.9 and 4800 at 24.8, enough for a bedroom, a hallway and a full living room in turn. Three color temperatures are built in and cycle from the ordinary wall switch, so a room can run cool for work and warm in the evening with no remote and no app.

The diffuser is molded PE over an iron frame, and the fixture weighs between 3.3 and 6.6 pounds. It arrives assembled and hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box, with no bulb to fit and nothing to put together. It is rated IP20 for dry interiors and carries CE and UL marks with a one year warranty. Because the LED is integrated, the fixture is replaced at end of life rather than relamped.

A ceiling light that hides the hardware

Switched off there is no lens, no trim ring and no visible fixing, just a soft lobed white form sitting flat against the ceiling.

The cloud ceiling light switched off against a plain pale ceiling, reading as a solid moulded white form with no lens, trim ring or visible fixings.

They cycle from the ordinary wall switch. Turn the light off and on again to step to the next setting. There is no remote and no app.
11.8 inches at 1920 lumens suits a bedroom or a hallway. 16.9 inches at 3200 lumens suits a larger bedroom. 24.8 inches at 4800 lumens is the one for a full living room.

Flush and semi-flush fixtures exist for ceilings that cannot give up the height. Choosing between them is mostly a clearance question.

  • Ceilings under 8 feetChoose flush. A semi-flush will feel low.
  • Ceilings 8 to 10 feetSemi-flush works and adds some depth to the room.
  • Minimum clearanceAt least 7 feet from the floor to the lowest point of the fixture.
  • PlacementCentre it in the room, or centre it over the walkway in a hallway rather than on the room's midpoint.
  • Hallways and landingsOne fixture roughly every 8 to 10 feet keeps the light even.

Starting points, not rules. Check them against the measurements listed for this piece and against your own ceiling height before you drill.

From Our Customers

What Elbrune shoppers have to say.

Exactly What the Kitchen Needed

Was a little unsure about the size at first, but it ended up looking perfect over our table. The warm light makes the kitchen feel so much cozier. Really happy with it.

Took a Little Longer, but I Love It

Shipping took a few days longer than expected, but everything arrived safely. The lamp looks really nice on our nightstand and customer service was helpful when I asked for an update.

Glad I Went for It

I hadn’t ordered from Elbrune before so I was a little nervous. Everything arrived well packed though and the light looks even nicer in person :)

Looks So Nice Over the Table

The color is a little warmer in person than I expected, but I actually like it better that way. Looks great over our dining table.

Made Our Patio Look So Much Better

We put these by the back door and I’m really happy with them. They give off plenty of light and made the patio feel a lot nicer at night.

Took a While, but Worth It

Delivery took around 10 days, but other than that no complaints. The lamp looks great in our living room and feels really solid.

Light sets the room

Ceiling light is the first thing a room reads and the last thing most people change.

Hung at the right height

Every drop, rod and cord length is listed, so it lands where you want it.

Warm, not clinical

Chosen for the quality of the light as much as the shape of the fixture.
