One compact fixture, close to the ceiling, that does not collect shadow. That is the whole requirement in an entry hall or over a small dining table, and the Eldon is built around it. An iron frame holds a single glass shade in a shape pared back to its outline, 9.1 inches across and 5.9 inches deep, small enough for a tight landing and substantial enough not to vanish over a table.

Iron gives the frame its weight and its edge definition, and the glass diffuser sits inside the frame rather than hanging below it, so the fixture keeps a tight profile and there is no swinging element to knock walking past. Black reads graphic against a white ceiling and is the easier choice where trim and hardware are already dark. Gold warms the fixture considerably and picks up brass elsewhere in a room. A single lamp does the work, which keeps glare low and the silhouette uncluttered.

It hardwires directly to a ceiling junction box on 120V, with no driver or transformer to house, and the socket takes a standard E26 medium base bulb, not included. That leaves both brightness and color temperature open, so the same fixture runs warm in a bedroom and neutral over a work surface. It is CE and UL certified. No ingress rating is published for it, so treat it as an indoor fitting and keep it away from bathrooms and exposed positions.

No. The socket is a standard E26 medium base, so brightness and color temperature stay your decision and the bulb is replaceable for the life of the fixture.

Flush and semi-flush fixtures exist for ceilings that cannot give up the height. Choosing between them is mostly a clearance question.
